Ellie Goulding - born Elena Jane Goulding (30 December 1986) in Hereford (England) she is an English singer/songwriter. Ellie Goulding, a British musician and singer who gained fame in 2010 after her hit singles Guns and Horses and Starry Eyed received a lot of attention from the media. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Her unique soprano sibilance and knack for writing captivating, yet emotional songs, Goulding, much like her predecessors Kate Bush and Imogen Heap has a place at the cutting edge of modern mainstream music as well as artistic, non-conformist pop.Goulding quickly moved from blogging to printed media, gaining recognition from major publications such as The Guardian and fielding offers from record labels. Polydor Records offered her a contract as a major label. She began to prepare for her release.
