Ariel Winter, born Ariel Winter Workman (Janurary 28, 1998) in Los Angeles California is an American actor, singer and voice actor. Ariel began her acting career at a young age, starring in a Cool Whip commercial at age 6. Her first television appearance was when she was seven, in an episode from CBS's Listen Up! Her subsequent roles included Monk Bones, ER and other shows. Gretchen played the Disney Original Channel animated show Phineas and Ferb in 2007. In the following year she was able to get her first live-action performance as Alex Dunphy on the hit television show Modern Family. Together with the cast in Modern Family she received the Screen Actors Guild Award in the past four years for the Best Ensemble Comedy Series.
