Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise (born Tina Louise) is a American author, singer and performer well-known for her character Ginger Grant in Gilligan's Island. Her Two's Company musical was the first show she performed in during her stage debut. In the 1950s, she appeared as a stage performer in a few Broadway productions before gaining to national prominence with Li'l Abner' in 1957. Her first album, titled It's Time to Tina during the same year. Her debut appearance in Hollywood was when she played Griselda on God's Little Acre, a 1958 film. It received wide praise. Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the year category. She was enrolled at Actors Studio, New York during this period and became Lee Strasberg's student. The year 1964 saw her signing to CBS as a character, Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her work between Broadway as well as Hollywood playing more serious characters as opposed to her perception of being a glamour girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The SG-1 series, as well as Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. In recent years she's also been an acclaimed director of well-known TV series like Supernatural and The 100. She was born in Essex on the 28th of August, 1965 and her family moved to Toronto when she was just three where she subsequently spent in the adolescent years and childhood. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 to play the role and has remained there ever since.
